I love the concept behind Zen Habits by Leo Babauta which in a nutshell is “become your new habit”. If you’re familiar with mindset work you understand already how you can reprogram your mind and change your reality by assigning new beliefs. Zen Habits tap into this concept to help you decide who you want to be and then become that new person. To give you an example: if you’re currently not getting things done then you have to stop seeing yourself as someone who doesn’t get things done and see yourself as someone who does get things done. But if you decide that can no longer see yourself as someone who isn’t getting things done, then you will make an effort to get things done. Sounds simple and productive.

Zen Habits has twice been named one of the Top 25 blogs by Time Magazine.

Working from home routine

Working from home requires you to have a good routine down to help you focus and get as much done. If you don’t have a routine yet, don’t worry. Just try and repeat the same steps every day, as much as possible to help you establish one in no time. To become more productive, you got to try and stick to it for at least 31 days, because that’s how long it takes to build a new habit or break a bad one. Once you find what works for you, do more of what works and STOP doing what doesn’t.

  1. Do your most important work first.
  2. Set a timer.
  3. Have a designated area to work from.
  4. Don’t start something new before you’ve finished one task.
  5. Stick to your routine for 31 days.

What are some productivity tricks?

The best productivity trick is to do the most important task first! Don’t delay it because anything else will take away from your time and energy, which are your limited resources.
