    4. Compensation analyst
    5. Market research manager
    6. Public relations manager

However, my favorite one is blogging.

Because after falling pregnant I could no longer do what I did before so I started blogging. But how can you start a blog? Let’s take a look next.

    1. Start A Blog

Starting a mom blog has been the best decision ever. Not only does it give me a creative outlet while my little one’s asleep but I’m able to earn money with it.

But setting up your own blog is not hard and in this free tutorial, I walk you through the process step-by-step so that by the time you finish reading the post you have your blog set up. Or click here to get the right hosting for your blog.

    Successful mom blogger examples

Some mom bloggers make some SERIOUS cash. And to see just how much, take a look at the next examples below.

    • The Busy Budgeter makes $86K+/month
    • Twins Mommy makes $20K/month from her blog
    • Making Sense Of Cents earns over $150K+/ month from her blog (that’s $150,000 per month! SOOO impressive!)

How to make money with your blog

There are many ways to monetize your blog.

But my favorite one is affiliate marketing, which is when you promote other people’s products on your blog. Because every time someone buys via your link, you’ll earn a small commission.

Another way to monetize your blog is with Amazon’s affiliate program. Promote any product on your blog via your link. Once you apply to Amazon’s affiliate program you have 180 days to make 3 sales to get accepted into the program. So make sure you’ll have enough traffic before you apply.

Or you can monetize your blog by selling a digital product or creating a course that helps solve your reader’s problem.

    2. Become A Virtual Assistant

Virtual Assistants, or short VA, are in high demand.

As a virtual assistant, you offer administrative services to clients from the comfort of your own home. You’ll help your clients schedule appointments, make phone calls, make travel arrangements, and manage email or social media accounts like Pinterest.

How much you earn, however, depends on your rates, the hours you work, and how many clients you’re able to take on as I dive deeper into this post here.

    Virtual Assistant For Pinterest

As a VA for Pinterest, you can make some serious money like my friend Megan who makes an average of $5K-$7K/ month while staying at home with her two kids. And in her course, she shows you how to become a Pinterest VA.

    5. Take Online Surveys

Online surveys are a great way to earn money online and I myself have earned hundreds of extra dollars this way.

The good thing is that all you need is your phone or a laptop.

Some surveys pay you with Amazon gift cards, however personally, I prefer online surveys that pay cash, like the ones I show you in this post.

And if you’re curious and want to take a look, here are two of my favorites:

    1. Survey Junkie (Redeem virtual points for PayPal or e-Giftcards)
    2. Paid View Point (they pay cash only and you can earn $25 for each friend you refer)

    6. Become A Proofreader

Let me ask you this, do you have an eye for details and spot spelling and grammar mistakes easily? (My sister always spots the tiniest errors.)

Because proofreaders are also high in demand and there are a lot of companies could do with your help if that sounds like you.

The good thing is that with this work-from-home job for moms, you can work in your own time, whenever you find some quiet time.

To get started, check out this FREE workshop by Caitlin from Proofread Anywhere who makes over $45K/year proofreading online.

    7. Pinterest Manager

Pinterest is, undoubtedly, a great source of traffic for many mom bloggers, coaches, and brands. But it’s also time-consuming hence many business owners look to outsource it and hire an expert – like you.

If you’re interested in becoming a Pinterest Manager then check out these course bundles that teach you everything you need to know about Pinterest (in all honestly, this is the ONLY course bundle you’ll need to master Pinterest!).

    8. Amazon

    12. Customer Service Representative

As a customer service representative, you interact with customers to give information or advice about a company’s products or services. But you also handle requests and process orders.

How much you get paid depends on the company you work for and how many hours you’re able to put in. But again, all you need is a laptop and a pair of headphones and you’re all set.

Sykes Enterprises salary for a customer service representative starts at $52,038 per year for Insurance Agents.

And representative salaries at Kelly Services can range from $11 – $23/hour.

    13. Data entry

If you’re good with spreadsheets and like entering numbers, a data entry role could be a great way for you to earn extra income.

Your job involves entering data from various sources into the company computer system for processing and management. Therefore, you will need to be able to efficiently manage large amounts of information that is often sensitive or confidential.

Pay varies but if you like spreadsheets and sifting through data, then this could be a great job for you.

Personally, I’ve hired people on Upwork before to help me with data entries for a fixed fee.

The last tip I can recommend is to look for work with e-commerce shop owners who deal with product inventories that you can help put together or update.

    14. Virtual Receptionist

Thinking of doing a virtual receptionist mommy job online?

As a virtual receptionist, you perform the same tasks as an in-house receptionist, but you work remotely from your own desk (if you have one) instead. That means some of your tasks include handling incoming calls, taking messages, transferring calls, making outgoing calls for instance, and more!

Ruby specializes in connecting live virtual receptionists with companies looking to hire.

    15. Phone Nurse

If you have a medical degree and want to work from home, becoming a telephone nurse could be a fulfilling side hustle that pays well.

    16. Social Media Manager

Do you enjoy spending time on social media? Then why not get paid to help busy mom bloggers, brands, or coaches by looking after their social media accounts?

You can help your clients, for example, drive sales and increase brand awareness across platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Snap Chat, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Likewise, you’ll create online profiles, post pictures on Instagram, curate collections on Pinterest, and respond to questions on Twitter. Additionally, your tasks may also include moderating comments, editing videos, or managing Facebook ads.

The best place to look for jobs is Upwork or directly on Facebook.

And if you apply to Upload, make sure to include samples of your work, for example:

    • posts you posted
    • caption copy you wrote
    • images you posted
    • competitions you ran

And you also want to include stats if you have managed social media accounts before, for example:

    • how many followers were you able to grow
    • how many sales did you drive
    • how many new subscribers did you add to the email list
    • how many leads or sign ups you generated

Good luck with your job hunt mommy!

    17. Become A Brand Ambassador

Do you have a decent amount of followers on Instagram (10K-50K+)?

Then maybe becoming a brand ambassador could be a way for you to build an extra income stream.

Because with that many followers you can use your social media following to work with brands you like to promote their products to your audience. Then, if people use your links to get special discounts you’ll earn a commission for every sale. Plus, you usually get the product you’re promoting for free as well, so it’s a win-win.

    Common brand ambassador niches include:

    • Health and Fitness
    • Beauty and Make-up
    • Subscription Food Boxes
    • Jewellery
    • Sports Brands
    • Swim Wear

As a brand ambassador, you build relationships and trust not only with your audience but also with the brand you work for. So read the terms carefully before you agree so that you and the brand are both happy.

    18. Website Tester

How about getting paid to test websites?

Because feedback is so valuable for brands they are willing to pay you money for testing their websites or products before it hits the market.

That means if you’re good at picking up on details and enjoy giving feedback, then maybe testing websites could be for you?

To get started check out these online focus groups that pay cash.

All you have to do is to register and then you’ll get emailed when they need testers. But it is usually the fastest to reply that get hired, so be as prompt as you can.

Once you get the job all you need is a webcam on your laptop or your phone with a microphone (earphones with a built-in microphone work great).

    19. Freelance Writer

If you love writing, this is a great way to make extra money online. Because copywriters are in high demand, in all languages, because everyone needs great copy that sticks.

    20. Translator

If you speak more than one language fluently, this is a great opportunity for you to make extra cash.

Usual translation jobs include ad copy, brochures, websites, blog posts, or documents.

Once I translated an entire Shopify store for one of my e-commerce clients, which was a lot of work but earned me some decent cash.

To get started, look in Facebook groups, Upwork, Fiverr for “translation” to find work.

    21. Call Center

Did you know, that selling is the number one needed job in the world?

That’s why call centers are always on the lookout for great salespeople. And if you’re good at selling, you won’t have a problem getting hired.

However, depending on how good you are you could become the company’s greatest asset. So if you’re good at talking to people on the phone and are good at selling you can excel in this job and make a LOT of money.

Depending on who you work for and what you are selling you can get commission payouts as high as 60%. So if the product you’re selling costs $1000, you’ll get to keep $600 for every sale you make.

To get started you can search online for remote call center jobs and pick a niche you feel the most comfortable selling.

Where Can I Find Stay-at-Home-Mom Jobs?

To find the perfect stay-at-home-mom job start by using Upwork, Fiverr, Facebook groups to look for online jobs.

How Much Money Can A Stay-at-Home Mom Earn?

Now it’s time to get serious about earning money from home now that you know what wonderful opportunities are out there. So let’s look at some more tips about how to get started.

How to start your journey working from home

    1. Set Goals

Get clear on your goals. Because it’s easier to hit them when you know what they are.

To get clear on your goals write them down on a piece of paper, a notepad, or on your phone so that you can come back anytime.

    • How much money do you want to make?
    • How much do you need to make to leave your job, and go on that vacation?
    • What do you need the extra income for?

    2. Set a deadline

Define a clear date by which you would like to hit your target.

    • By when do you need to make the money?

    3. What are you going to do to achieve it?

Now that you know how much money you want to make and by when you want to make it it’s time to put an action plan in place.

    • How much time per day or week are you going to set aside?
    • What are you going to work on when you are sitting down?

Then tell your partner or husband when exactly you’re going to sit down and work to avoid confrontation and to make sure that your partner is on board and fully supports you and your goals.

    4. Make sure the kids are taken care off

Before you start working make sure you organize child care. Or, if you have family close by organize one day of the week or specific hours for them to look after the kids while you work towards the family budget.

    5. Organize the household first

Coordinate your daily house chores first, before you do any work to make sure your family feels like the number one.

Because you don’t want the chores to add up and you feel too tired to do them after work.

Here are a few things I do before I sit down to work on my blog.

    1. Do the washing
    2. Empty the dishwasher
    3. Prep meals in advance
