All you have to do is look at one page to save yourself so much hassle! Honestly, it’s the kind of page I wish I had when I first started out. Because it would have saved me a ton of time researching, comparing, and watching tutorials.
So here are my resources and tools for you, mommy.
Bluehost: If you’re starting your blog with WordPress.org (which I highly recommend!) then you’ll need web hosting. Bluehost offers everything you need in the Basic Plan AND has the cheapest hosting for only $2.95 a month. But they also have customer service that you can reach out to for help, for FREE, which I personally have used so many times and love. And that’s not all… Because if you sign up using my link, you’ll also get a FREE domain name for your first year (which saves you some money right there). Astra: If you’re not tech-savvy and just want to build a blog as easily as possible, you need Astra. Astra is one of the most popular WordPress themes for bloggers. And in fact, it’s what Any Mommy Can Make Money is built on it. But I didn’t start my blog with Astra. Because originally I had started out on Genesis because it used to be the most popular framework. But honestly, it got a bit complicated and frustrating and that’s why I switched to Astra because with Astra EVERYTHING is easy! You don’t require any coding and can literally customize your entire blog with a few clicks. And the best part, Astra is free. However, if you upgrade to Pro you’ll get even more amazing features like header and footer options that will blow your mind.
Pinteresting Strategies: Note, that I no longer use Tailwind. Instead, I am following Carly Campbell, from Mommy on Purpose’s strategies to pin manually. And I absolutely love it. Her incredible course Pinteresting Strategies has helped me understand HOW Pinterest really works and why you absolutely must pin manually. With her strategies, it’s actually easy and not as complicated as you might think. Anyways, I’ll be posting a review of the course soon.
